Origin of Horton Kirby
In 1995, the company Horton Kirby Poland Sp. z o.o. was established The main goal of the company was to scroll rauhfaser wallpapers and to sell them. In order to implement this assumption, the company invested in specialized wallpaper rewinding machines and conducted such activity for 8 years. During this period, she was the leader of rauhfaser wallpaper sales in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Lithuania.
Changes in ownership and further development
In 2000, ownership changes were introduced in the company. The owners decided to enter the next phase of the company's development. It was decided to expand the company's activity in the field of producing wallpaper samplers in sets of various types and in any configurations. It was also decided to create a department dealing with the production of textile samples in the form of templates. What is more, the textile department began the production of draperies, curtains and other haberdashery accessories related to textiles.
Expansion with a new production hall
The first few years of producing wallpaper templates convinced the management of the need to increase the production area, hence it was decided to expand the company for the first time. In this way a modern production hall was built in 2006. At the same time, decisions were made to expand the activity related to the production of wallpaper templates to the production of wallpaper catalogues in hard covers. In order to achieve the new goal, the company invested in specialized bookbinding machines and significantly increased the production capacity of wallpaper catalogues.
In 2011, due to the growing catalogue market, the company's management decided on the next modernization aimed at creating a high storage warehouse and building administrative and social facilities. After the investment completed in 2013, Horton Kirby Poland Sp. z o.o. finally increased production and warehouse space to 5,500 m2. The main part of the area is occupied by a high storage warehouse, which is a key element in the storage of materials used for order processing. Companies that commission the production of catalogues have the option of leaving a supply of wallpaper needed for re-ordering catalogues.
We have a rich and constantly developing machine park, which allows us to perform various bookbinding works required for the production of all kinds of solid cardboard products in a maximum format of 70 x 140 cm, from development to the finished product.
In addition, the company has a modern office space necessary to manage the orders received, as well as its own manoeuvring areas and a loading ramp for its own transport.
Depending on a given time of the year, Horton Kirby Poland Sp. z o.o. has employed from 50 to 80 people, which is connected with seasonality of orders.
Horton Kirby Poland Sp. z o.o. participates in projects increasing the attractiveness of the environment in which it operates, as well as in initiatives building the company's image.
The company has been supporting the activities of the Jazz Orchestra Association in Szczecin for 15 years and co-creates the Jazz Challenges Festival. Due to these activities, the inhabitants of the region could see many world renown jazz and pop musicians on the stages of Szczecin.
